Hairstroke
Individual strokes drawn to follow the direction your own hair grows. The most natural of the five, and the one that suits sparse brows with some existing hair.

Hand tool rather than machine, including nano needles. Fine, crisp strokes. Best suited to normal to dry skin, because oilier skin tends to blur a hand tool stroke over time.
£330Ombré
Soft and light at the front, deepening through to the tail. A defined brow that still looks soft. Holds well on most skin types.
£330Soft Powder
An even, soft shade across the whole brow. The most forgiving of the five on oily or mature skin.

Hairstrokes through the front, soft powder through the body and tail. Natural where it needs to be, defined where it needs to be. Our most requested.

Two appointments,five to eight weeks apart.
Permanent makeup isn't finished on the day. The second appointment is where it's finished, and it's included in the price.
Consultation and shaping
Measuring, mapping and drawing the shape on before anything else happens. Nothing starts until you've seen it and agreed it.
Colour
Pigment mixed to your colouring, not picked off a chart, and adjusted as the shape settles.
The treatment
Topical anaesthetic, applied and reapplied through the appointment. Most clients find the shaping beforehand more uncomfortable than the tattooing itself.
Retouch, five to eight weeks
Included. Healing is individual, and this is where any adjustment to shape, density or tone is made.
They will look darkerbefore they look right.
Colour sits up to around forty per cent darker than the healed result until the skin settles. This is normal and every single client goes through it.
- Day 1 to 2
- Bold and considerably darker than you expected, with some tenderness. This is all completely normal, and it's the stage that passes.
- Day 3 to 7
- Flaking begins. Please don't pick or help it along. Patches that look like the colour has vanished are skin over pigment, not lost pigment.
- Day 7 to 10
- Flaking finishes. Brows often look too light at this point. Again, completely normal.
- Week 2 to 4
- Colour rises back up through the skin as it settles. Tone and density even out.
- Week 5
- The healed result. This is the first honest look at them, and the point from which the retouch is planned.
Preparation and aftercareare as important as the treatment.
We look after the treatment itself. Everything either side of it is yours to look after, and it matters more than most people expect.
Before you come
- Leave your brows alone for ten days. No tweezing, no waxing, no threading.
- No brow tinting for two weeks beforehand.
- No alcohol the night before.
- Go easy on caffeine on the day.
- If you take aspirin or blood thinners, speak to your doctor first.
- If you're prone to cold sores, tell us at consultation.
Afterwards
- Follow the aftercare you're given. It's individual: some clients are given a balm, others heal better dry, and we'll tell you which you are.
- No makeup on the brow area for seven to ten days.
- No steam rooms, saunas, public baths or extreme heat for seven to ten days.
- No swimming, and keep them out of direct sun.
- Don't pick the flaking. It'll cost you pigment.
- No tinting for at least two weeks afterwards.
Why every brow tattoocools over time.
Nobody in this industry likes explaining this. We would rather you heard it from us before the treatment than from the internet a year afterwards.
It's optics, not workmanship. Pigment sitting in the dermis scatters light in a way that reads cooler than the pigment's true colour. It's the same effect that makes veins look blue when the blood in them is red, and it's called the Tyndall effect. It happens in all skin, at every skill level, with every pigment brand on the market.
There's a second, smaller factor. The warmer elements in a pigment blend fade faster than the more stable ones, which nudges the tone cooler as it ages.
Technique, pigment quality and depth of placement affect how evenly and how quickly this happens. They don't stop it happening. No practitioner, however skilled, and no pigment, however well engineered, can eliminate it. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.
Which is why a colour boost exists. Warmer tones are worked back into the pigment on a schedule, ahead of the cooling becoming visible, rather than after.

Your colour boost date is taken from your last appointment with us, so the sooner you come back the less it costs. Multiple treatment colour boosts taken at the same appointment attract a ten per cent discount.

The DPC Colour Boost Club. Exclusive to our existing clients. You pay monthly by direct debit, on the first of the month, for a cycle of twelve months. Your annual colour boost is covered once all payments are completed. Uno is £15 a month and entitles you to your seven to eighteen month colour boost, worth £180. Duo is £27 a month and covers both colour boosts taken in the same session.
Once you're ready to book, a pass appears on your account so you can book online with no deposit, or by calling or messaging us. There's nothing more to pay on the day.
This isn't a credit facility. You're paying for the year ahead of your colour boost, not afterwards. You can keep the membership running or cancel it after twelve months.
We're always happy to colour boost another technician's work, but please assume your first appointment with us will be charged at the full new treatment price. It usually involves a full consultation, a redesign and a retouch, so it isn't eligible for colour boost pricing at that first appointment.

Does it hurt?
It should not, no. A topical anaesthetic is used and reapplied throughout your appointment. Most clients tell us the tweezing and shaping done beforehand is the more uncomfortable part, and that the tattooing itself barely registers by comparison. Everyone's tolerance is different and we'll check in with you throughout.
How long do they last?
Anywhere between one and five years, depending on your skin type, your lifestyle, sun exposure and how well you look after them. Oilier skin tends to hold pigment for less time. A colour boost every twelve to eighteen months keeps them where you want them.
Will they look obviously tattooed?
Absolutely not. Phil is well known for his natural looking, individualised work, and the shape is drawn on and agreed with you before any pigment goes anywhere. If you would like something bolder, just say so. Nothing is ever done without you seeing it first.
How long is the appointment?
Allow around two hours for a new treatment, including your consultation, the mapping and the colour match. Your retouch at five to eight weeks is shorter.
Is the retouch really included?
Yes. It's part of the treatment, not an upsell, and it must be taken within five to eight weeks of the first appointment. Healing is individual and the retouch is where the work is actually finished.
Can I have them done if I already have old work?
Usually, but it depends on how dark, how large and what condition the existing work is in. Send us a photograph or book a free consultation with Phil and we'll tell you honestly whether we can work over it, whether it needs fading first, or whether the answer is to wait.
What are the risks?
As with any procedure that breaks the skin there's a risk of allergic reaction, infection, scarring, an undesired result or colour, or misplaced colour. These are uncommon, and we discuss them properly with you at your consultation rather than burying them in a form.
Do I need a patch test?
Patch testing is arranged per treatment, so it depends what you're having done. We'll tell you at your consultation whether yours needs one and when it has to be done.
What if I need to cancel?
Permanent makeup appointments need five days' notice, because they're long appointments and the time is difficult to fill. With the correct notice we'll happily move you. A booking fee is taken online and comes off the cost of your treatment.
