We look at your face at rest and in movement, ask what's bothering you, and tell you honestly what will and won't fix it.
Medical history
Full history, medications, allergies and previous treatment. Some things rule injectables out and we would rather find that now.
The treatment
Marked, mapped and agreed with you before anything is injected. You see the plan first.
Two week review
Muscle relaxants take up to fourteen days to settle. We review you and adjust if anything needs it.
Muscle relaxants settleover a fortnight.
Muscle relaxants aren't instant. Judging the result before two weeks is the most common mistake people make.
- On the day
- Small raised bumps at each injection point, settling within an hour. Occasional pinprick bruising.
- Day 1 to 3
- Any bruising appears and begins to fade. You may feel a slight heaviness.
- Day 3 to 7
- Movement starts to soften. This is when it begins to look like something.
- Day 10 to 14
- The final result. This is the point at which we review you, and the point at which you should judge it.
Preparation and aftercareare as important as the treatment.
We look after the treatment itself. Everything either side of it is yours to look after, and it matters more than most people expect.
Before you come
- No alcohol for twenty four hours beforehand, as it increases bruising.
- Avoid NSAIDs, aspirin, vitamin E and ginseng for the week beforehand unless they're medically necessary. Never stop a prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor first.
- Come with a clean face and no makeup where possible.
- Tell us about any recent dental work, vaccinations or illness.
Afterwards, whatever you have had
- No alcohol, strenuous exercise, spas, saunas, hot showers or anything else heat inducing for twenty four hours.
- No active products, so no AHAs, retinols or vitamin C, and no oil based makeup for twenty four hours.
- Avoid UV and extreme heat for forty eight hours, and drink plenty of water.
- Avoid NSAIDs, aspirin, vitamin E and ginseng for the week following unless they're medically necessary.
- No facials, peels, microneedling or laser on the area for two weeks.
After muscle relaxants
- Stay upright for four hours. No lying flat, no bending over, no hats or headbands.
- Don't rub or massage the treated area, and no facial massage or electrical stimulation of the face for seven to fourteen days.
- Small bumps at the injection points settle within an hour. Movement softens from day three. Judge the result at two weeks, when we review you.
After fillers, boosters and Profhilo
- Redness, swelling and tenderness are normal and generally go within a few days. Lips swell the most and can take longer.
- Bruising is common. The cannula technique reduces it but doesn't remove it, and it won't affect your end result. Plan treatment around your social diary.
- A cool compress for ten minutes every half hour on the day helps. Never put ice directly on the skin. Arnica cream three times a day for seven days calms any bruising.
- No pressure on the area for forty eight hours. Sleep on your back if you can, and no face down massage.
- Don't massage the treated area unless we have told you to.

What are injectables?
Injectables are minimally invasive cosmetic procedures designed to alter the appearance and, sometimes, the structure of the skin. They've become increasingly popular for reducing fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet, and for improving loss of volume, to name a few of the many benefits. Performed by an expertly trained practitioner they're safe, effective, and can give your confidence a huge boost. By reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles they produce a look that's fresh, more youthful and, most importantly, natural.
How long does bruising last after a Liquid Lift?
The Liquid Lift treats multiple areas in one sitting, mostly by cannula. Bruising and swelling are as described in the aftercare, but with several areas done at once it can take seven to fourteen days for the initial bruising and swelling to subside. We expect everything fully healed and settled at one month, which is when we review your results.
Are fillers safe?
In trained hands, with a product that can be dissolved, and after a proper consultation and medical history, yes. The risk in this industry isn't the product, it's who is holding the needle and whether they know what to do when something isn't going to plan. Ask anyone treating you what they would do about a vascular occlusion. If they can't answer clearly, leave.
Does a medical background make a better injector?
Not on its own. A medical qualification tells you someone can manage a complication. It doesn't tell you they have an eye for a face, or hundreds of hours of injecting behind them. Training, aesthetic judgement and volume of experience matter as much as the letters. Ask about all of it.
How long does it take to work?
Muscle relaxants take up to fourteen days to settle fully. You'll see movement softening from around day three. We review you at two weeks and adjust if needed. Don't judge it before then.
How long does it last?
Muscle relaxants typically three to four months, and longer with regular treatment as the muscle weakens. Fillers vary by product and placement, generally six to eighteen months. MesoTox is two to three months. Hyperhidrosis treatment often around nine months.
Will I look frozen?
Not here. The aim is a fresher, smoother, brighter version of your own face that still moves. If you want completely immobile, we're the wrong clinic.
What's the difference between a skin booster and a filler?
A filler creates volume and changes shape. A skin booster does neither. It's a liquid hyaluronic acid placed just under the surface to hydrate, plump and smooth the skin itself. The effects are cumulative, so the more regularly you have them the better your skin behaves.
Can I have injectables and skin treatments together?
That's exactly how we prefer to work. Injectables address movement and volume. Skin courses address the quality of the skin itself. Together they do something neither does alone, and we plan them so they don't clash, with a two week gap around any injectable.
