Cosmetic Dermatology
Cosmetic lesions or blemishes on your face and body can be a nuisance, particularly now and they are no longer a priority for your GP to deal with. We can remove a variety of benign lesions or blemishes, whether you have a skin tag on your eye, your neck or underarm and are catching it. Perhaps you have thread veins on your nose or chin, Xanthelasma around your eyes, Solar Lentigines (commonly known as sun spots or age spots), Seborrheic Keratosis, Solar Keratosis and lots more, we can remove it! We offer both Cryotherapy and Diathermy methods. If you are unsure which service you need, simply select our Blemish Removal Consultation and we can assess the area and if safe to do so, can usually remove there and then. Please note this is not a medical service, we cannot diagnose and if you have any lesion or blemishes that you are concerned about, please arrange a visit to your doctor or dermatologist in the first instance to diagnose. We can then remove for you if safe to do so.
Dermatological Services
Skin Tag Removal £80
Skin tags a small brown or flesh-coloured growths (usually a few millimetres to 5cm in size) on the surface of your skin can affect both men and women. They most commonly occur where the skin folds or creases (most commonly on the neck, armpits, around the groin or under the breasts) and they can also be hereditary, and some people can also develop them for no apparent reason.  They are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin and can look like warts or raised bumps. Although skin tags are common, they are completely harmless, and they do not usually cause any pain or discomfort. However, they can snag on clothing or jewellery and bleed as a result and can be a nuisance. One session is usually all that is needed.
Xanthelasma £60 per session
Xanthelasma are yellowish-white lumps of fatty material accumulated under the skin on the inner parts of your upper and lower eyelids containing lipids, or fats, including cholesterol, and usually appear between your eyes and nose. It’s not harmful but can be an indicator of other health issues which is why we do recommend that you get it checked by your doctor or a dermatologist. Once you are all good to go, we can safely and effectively reduce/remove this for you using diathermy. Often 2-3 sessions are needed depending on the size and how established it is.
Seborrheic Keratosis £80
Seborrheic Keratosis are a flat thick build-up of epidermal cells with a rough texture and associated with aging and/or long term sun damage. They usually look like greasy or crusty spots which seem to be stuck on to the skin. The colour varies but usually they are darkish brown or black and sometimes can be confused as to being moles. Though referred to as a wart, seborrheic warts are not caused by the HPV virus, they are viral within the skin but not contagious to other people. They are quick and easy to remove, and we use Thermolysis as quickest and most effective treatment although we can also remove using cryotherapy. The method will be decided in your consultation with us.
Solar Lentigo £60-80
Solar Lentigines (commonly know as Liver or Age spots and other changes to your pigmentation can be caused by sun damage and the ageing process and often don’t go on their own. They can also look ageing, we can help you acheive a clearer complexion on face, hands or body. They are quick and easy to remove, and we can either use laser (ND YAG) or we find in most cases the quickest and most effective treatment is using cryotherapy. Often 1-3 sessions are needed. The prcice and method will be agreed in your consultation with us.
Thread veins and spider veins (telangectasia) £60 per session
These harmless, visible capillaries are easily treated using diathermy which is a heat based treatment and results can be instant but more often a couple of sessions are required. Â
Milia Removal £40
Mila are pores that have closed, usually due to the skin lacking in sebum whilst trapping keratin and skin cells, commonly occur around the eyes and on your eyelids, forehead, and other facial areas. Prices start from £40 dependent on the amount and number of areas.
We can safely and effective remove many skin lesions and are fully qualified in these methods. These treatments can restore your confidence and are often quick and easy to treat.
